The Wyndham Championship is played every year in Greensboro, North Carolina. The tournament was established in 1938 as the Greater Greensboro Open. In 2007, the event was renamed the Wyndham Championship when Wyndham Hotels and Resorts took over as title’s sponsor.

Harold Varner III, Tom Hoge and Roger Sloan each shot 8-under 62 to share the [round one] lead at the Wyndham Championship, the PGA Tour’s final regular-season event before the FedEx Cup playoffs.
Varner started the go-low at Sedgefield club with an eight-birdie, no-bogey round that matched his profession best on the PGA Tour.
Hoge and Sloan, playing together, stuck to this same pattern later in the round, Hoge also matched his career-low on the road, while Sloan’s the score set his own best.

Roger Sloan (-8)
Canada’s Roger Sloan is tied for the lead after he shot a career-low 62 within the first round of the PGA Tour’s Wyndham Championship on round 1. His previous best round on the highest tour was a 64 eventually year’s Mayakoba Golf Classic in Mexico.
At 8 under, the Merritt, B.C. golfer was tied with Americans Harold Varner III and Tom Hoge toward the top of the round one. Sloan and Hoge were a part of a similar trio.

Tom Hoge’s hot beginning at the 2020 Wyndham Championship continued within in the second round, however, he still has company at the head of the leaderboard heading into the end of the week. Hoge, Talor Gooch, Si Woo Kim and Billy Horschel have equal scores of 10 under through 36 holes to lead the field at Sedgefield Country Club in Greensboro, North Carolina.

Si Woo Kim hit 13 of 18 greens in regulation during the second round at the Wyndham Championship and had a decent round of putting, without any misses on putts within 10 feet.
Talor Gooch (-10)
It was the very first time Talor Gooch, who opened with a 65, had multiple rounds that low within the same event. He had six birdies, including two of his last three holes, to climb
“Whenever you shoot 65, it doesn’t make any difference who, what, when, where, why, you’ve done some good,” he said.
Billy Horschel (-10)

The 42-year-old delighted in a stellar at the Sedgefield Country Club, covering the last 36 holes in only 124 strokes, to successes at 21 under and pip previous FedEx Cup victor Billy Horschel by a one-shot. Furthermore, he received the winner payout of $1,152,000.
